Modelled on the revered Gallien-Krueger 1001RB bass amp preamp from the 1970s, the Mozztronics BP-1001 recreates the punchy, articulate tone of the classic GK circuit while adding modern versatility. Retaining the original EQ points for Bass (60 Hz), Low Mid (250 Hz), High Mid (1 kHz), and Treble (7 kHz), it also includes a variable contour (500 Hz mid scoop) and switchable presence boost at 10 kHz. Updated features include a DI output with ground lift, and an internal switch to assign the footswitch to either bypass or mute. The pedal captures the vintage GK character with accuracy, delivering the signature tight low end and growling mids beloved by bassists like Johnny G of 19twenty.
